ARDEX MVS 95 is a ready-to-use, one-component, water-based dispersion coating available in pre-gauged 12kg units. This pigmented blue coating indicates uniform coverage and becomes waterproof once fully cured. Designed to suppress residual construction moisture in cementitious substrates, including properly prepared power-floated concrete and cement/sand screeds, ARDEX MVS 95 is intended for use as a two-coat system. When fully dry, it creates a membrane that can accommodate hygrometer readings of up to 95% relative humidity (RH) and allows the subsequent application of ARDEX levelling and smoothing compounds without the need for priming. It is suitable for use on heated screeds installed and commissioned according to BS 8204 Part 1 and the recommendations in Part 4 of BS EN 1264, but it should not be applied directly to ground substrates without a functioning structural damp proof membrane.
