Product description
The dressing consists of an absorbent core made from soft fleecy cellulosic and synthetic fibres, which rapidly draws fluid away from the wound surface. This absorbent layer is backed with a strong non-woven material cover to provide added durability and structural integrity during application and removal. Both surfaces are lightly bonded to a polyester film that is evenly perforated, ensuring efficient fluid transfer while preventing adhesion to the wound bed.
Zorbopad is significantly thicker than many standard absorbent dressings, delivering enhanced cushioning and protection to the wound site. This increased thickness improves overall comfort, making it suitable for use on sensitive wounds or areas subject to movement. The non-adherent surface ensures the dressing can be removed comfortably and cleanly, minimising trauma to newly formed tissue.
Its fortified ply construction prevents delamination and maintains dressing integrity throughout use, even in wounds with moderate to heavy exudate. Zorbopad is also manufactured to a high standard, offering a long shelf life of up to five years from the date of manufacture, providing excellent stock reliability for clinics and practices.
Zorbopad can be used on its own as a primary absorbent dressing or combined with Zorbofix™ to create a custom-sized island dressing, allowing clinicians to tailor wound care to individual patient needs.
